TC also supports the "American Cancer Society" and "The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation" with wig donations and walking campaigns.
Wig donations are just a small contribution from T.C. Chorus members to help other women undergoing the life-altering and demoralizing experiences involved in the treatment of cancer.

The Chorus members donate a portion of their show and fundraising income to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of our cancer survivors and in memory of the members we have lost to cancer.

In October of 2005 Liza Robson organized chorus participation in the "Making Strides for Breast Cancer" walk around Lake Nakomis under the sponsorship of her company, the AVR Corporation. Some sang and some walked - Photo "the Singers" faces l-r: Sue White, Wendy Sanders, Rose Berglund, Lois Schaaf, Kate Salvatore, Kathy Johnson, Ann Fisher, Sarah Schandle, Monica Anderson, Beth Henn, Anita Seibert, Merrilee Spaeth, Darlene Solheim, Phyl Quiggley, Bev Kenealey, Wendy Hamilton, Betty Mart, Monica Baker, Marcia Fridland, Liza Robson. TC Member Wendy Hamilton is especially involved with "Project Linus"
Project Linus Mary and Martha Godby, coordinators for the Minnesota Chapter of Project Linus, with the help of T.C. chorus members and Wendy Hamilton, met their goal of delivering the ten-thousandth blanket to Twin City hospitals in a year! These blankets are knitted, or sewn with polar fleece, quilted, by Minnesota volunteers for preemies and children who are critically ill or traumatized. It is comforting for a child to know that someone loves him enough to make his blanket. It's like receiving a giant Hug!

When the tragedy of September 11 created a greater need for blankets, members of T.C. Chorus gave generously to help Wendy provide 2000 blankets to send to the children of New York fire fighters. Giving comfort to others fills our hearts with joy as well.
